The Company

Our Apheon Paris office is currently recruiting an intern to support the French Investment Team in its daily activities. We are offering a six-month internship position, with compensation based on the candidate’s profile. A valid internship agreement (convention de stage) issued by a recognized higher education institution is mandatory.

Job Description

As part of a pan-European investment team of around thirty investment professionals based in Paris, Brussels, Munich, Milan, Madrid, and Amsterdam, the intern will support and assist the French Investment Team (based in Paris) from the evaluation of opportunities to the execution of transactions:

  • Assess new investment opportunities at an early stage (market research and analysis, valuation, expert calls, etc.)
  • Contribute to the drafting of investment memos (in English) for pre-investment and investment committees (business and market analysis, financial review, valuation), and support the due diligence process (financial, strategic, ESG)
  • Assist investment teams in the monitoring of portfolio companies (add-on acquisitions, market analysis, internal and external reporting)
  • Support the team in cross-functional tasks (marketing presentations, process optimization tools, market intelligence)

Education and Experience

We are looking for an intern with a strong academic background (business school, engineering school, or university) and a first significant internship experience, ideally within an investment bank, strategy consulting firm, or private equity fund.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial models, as well as excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Fluency in English is essential to succeed in a demanding international environment.
